The wrong people are scared of AI

They said that robots will take our jobs.
Now ChatGPT, Midjourney and their friends are here and the market is quickly trying to make the most out of them.

They thought that AI would replace technical jobs: professionals at the front desk, at the post office and at the factory.

But now AI is here, and it’s a compelling writer and a surprisingly creative painter. It’s the technical jobs which seem to be in danger.

AI will cause firms to cut jobs which require creative work but not creative solutions: the graphic designer who makes a “simple logo”, the developer who builds landing pages, etc. Humans with a knack for unique, creative craft and for complex problem solving will be needed to provide out-of-the-AI solutions.

It’s not the technical jobs that are going away, but the entry-level creative jobs. The pipeline to build new design, arts and marketing specialists will be cut off.

Let’s hope for a new generation of natural talents.
